Well weeks are flying by at warp speed!   The Sweeties are slowly weaning and learning how to eat food.  Most now have a mouthful of teeth.   They spend time in their in door pen as well as their out door pen.   They live all their gym equipment with favorites being the tunnel and the wobble board!   And of course the ball pit!

The sweeties started week 4 off with a bang!    Their hearing and eye sight gets better ever day!   They can now see their toys at a distance and engage enthusiastically with their siblings, toys and humans.    I can no longer walk into their room without waking them.   They have started eating “kibble gruel” and have tried water.    They potty on the newspaper about 80 percent of the time making clean up very easy!   They are all really sweet and very similar in size, looks, and temperament.   They range from 4 to 4 1/2 pounds.    They love being held and now we have to make the effort of not picking up the one who is jumping so we don’t reinforce bad habits!    Please check you tube for videos as I have trouble posting on here.   You can also see pictures at Fiji_thewaterdog on instagram it meadowstarpwds Facebook page.   

The third week of puppy life is off to a great start!  They have discovered each other!   They now play bite, bark, and growl at each other.    All the pups are up and walking but they still resemble drunken sailors!   They are also trying to run and pounce but usually only get a step or two before flopping!   The change from newborns to mobile social puppies is underway!​  having trouble uploading the video:   Please go to you tube – meadowstar Portuguese Water Dogs
